Is this developer update a joke?
In this update, we’re aiming to address points of frustration for both sides
For Survivors, dodging Blades could feel inconsequential since so few would injure you, making it feel unavoidable.
Trickster is now completely overbuffed and has even less consequences to missing,can build up his camping focused main event in less than a health state and zones you completely for free now with 4,6 m/s.
MFT now is only useful with Dead Hard or against Legion,promoting perks being generally useless except niche frustrating scenarios. Great job!
Second, we’ve reviewed various pallets loops and reduced the amount of vegetation surrounding them, making it easier to identify loops at a glance.
They actually just added more fog and everything is still impossible to see with 40 trees and bushes.
How is this entire update just: "We identified the issue,we now do nothing about it". What the hell is this,genuinely I dont understand this at all.

For the maps I would wait until we can see them, the fog in the picture might be just promo or whatever.
Yeah MFT got gutted, but then again the perk was busted so that's fine, still weird that it particularly hurts Legion now or is only usable with deadhard... Theoretically it adds a bit into the anti tunnel spectrum, because if you get hit off of hook you are now in deep wounds but faster... Same with off the record, so I guess it is at least something? But I agree they could have come up with a better change.

Their map track record has not been good at all and the visibility issues are still just getting worse so I am of little faith.
I dont get the attitude of "this perk was OP so it being absolutely garbage now is fine". I want more usable perks in this game. We have enough terrible perks. Should never settle for garbage instead of strong. i.e Ruin.

Yeah sure would be nice, but if I have to chose between broken and garbage I would rather have garbage.

I dont know,broken sounds more fun than having nothing to use and leaves the game at least feeling more fresh and casual when there are such options on both sides

Only as long as you re not on the other side facing broken stuff... I d rather have balanced stuff. You have enough stuff to use, some perks are rather niche and not very strong, but at least they don't break chase interaction completely. I think there are a lot of interesting perk combinations, but people barely use them because they are not the strongest... Not everything can be equally strong, but if you want diversity in your load out you will have to settle for weaker options as well.

I’m at least willing to wait and see how Trickster is on the PTB, though my initial impression is that he’ll be too strong now and will likely have to be nerfed, especially if he’s going to be 4.6 going forward.
MFT is far from gutted though, it’s still perfectly usable. It’s only gutted if you compare it to the old version but that’s because the old version was the #1 most broken perk in the game and it needed a harsh nerf. So of course in comparison to that it looks terrible. The truth is, there are still plenty of ways to get the speedboost to trigger, through its own Endurance effect (which by itself makes the perk good), basekit BT, OTR, or one of the many other sources of Endurance that exist in the game now. As well as it just punishing Legion and Slinger for using their power, though that’s something that should be changed imo. But it never should have had a speedboost that was as common and easy to trigger as it does right now.

Yeah, I had someone in another thread try to tell me that the nerf to MFT is balancing it. Wrong lol. Nerfing things to the ground is counterproductive, and like I keep saying YOU END UP WITH PERK BLOAT. There are creative development teams who can find a nice balance and make most people happy.
You want to cater to the casual gamers, as they make up most of the player base, I can see here this isn't the case lol. Casual players used it I believe to be slightly better at kiting. I said in my other posts, I used it with a healing build, got bored and put back on my Smash Hit build. If someone can't kite, MFT isn't going to do anything. I've seen so many videos of killers swearing "THIS GROUP HAS MFT OMGGGGG" then after the match no one had it. It's like yeah, you're just...not doing so well. Who cares?
Even worse is the bait and switch. Release a character with an enticing perk (It can be a killer or survivor) then nerf it sometime down the line. You know, speak with your wallet, just stop buying stuff...
People defending it are just rationalizing, and saying you should make your entire build around one perk, that is just...no. I am not using all these perks to make one half decent lol. I can win with using whatever perks...BUT I do not agree with this nerfing stuff to oblivion after selling it. One of my friends just bought Gabriel and he wants a refund. I said welcome to the club, happened with CoH and I knew it would happen with this.
Yeah, I don't get the update either, in fact, I absolutely hate it.
When they messed with the med kits and CoH (after I bought the character and leveled her lol) I stopped playing for the entire summer, I did not miss the game, and making all med kits the same was a snoozefest. I played it only because my 10 yo niece begged me to play with her when she came back to stay with us because her school started, I felt bad so I did.
So yeah, I only play when she asks me...D: I thought maybe an update would fix stuff, but uh....female vaulting is still giving killers gimp free hits and that's....not fixed? Okay...
I haven't spent a dime on the game and will not anymore. There is no point in buying characters for perks if they will just get nerfed to the ground. Remember what they did to eruption, and people got really upset and then they actually made it BALANCED instead of nerfing it to crap? Yeah, that is what should have been done in the first place.

basekit bt, bt, dead hard, buckle up, made for this, off the record, WGLF, soul guard, medkit, feral slash, redeemer, claw trap, all of them makes you faster if you´re using mft, it´s not that bad, mft is a really good anti tunnel
and about trickster, his main event looks a bit, OP lol

mother dwelling is terrible for killer. that map for killer is my most feared map to get strong survivors on. Garden of joy has the most ridiculously main building in the entire game. both of those maps contain window infinity loops in main building.
MFT is a perk that has been widely complained about by many killer players. killer do not want attempt to the perk so it is getting changed.

sorry but no killer main believes trickster is a good killer. he is rated as C-tier killer. get good. As for his camping, he could already camp with his normal throwing mode. main event is a trash ability.

That is just a screenshot of the current map, please at least go into the PTB before making assumptions. Also I am glad MFT got this nerf, baring in mind it still synergises with itself in that if you get a heal off you gain endurance so the perk is fine now and it can trigger its own effect.

As a Killer who play Trickster casually, its without question he needed buffs, has always been a slug to play and being easily outdone by a wall. Their suggested buffs changes everything that was complained about usually in trickster threads.
