Can't complete totem challenge, resets every game even if completed

In Tome 12: Discordance, there is a totem challenge called "Craft time's over" that can't be completed. You have to cleanse 10 totems, 5 of them have counted for me, but if I even complete it in the game session, soon as I get back to the main menu, it still says I have to cleanse 5 more totems.
Perks I've been using: Built to last, self care, calm spirit and distortion.
Item: Green map with add ons: odd stamp and red twine.
It has happened to me twice now, on I think was the Red Forest and the second was on Midwich. Still haven't tried a 3rd time yet, but I'm not gonna bother, pretty sure it'll still do it anyway.
