Re-visit Freddy?
I'm not talking about a re-work, I'm talking about implementing the OG Freddy and ditching the current one (or relegating to an alternate).
To me, having such an on-brand Chucky really highlights what a pale shadow of Freddy we have in game. I know BHVR has come a long way in terms of being able to secure/attract licenses since Freddy was added, and I can't help but wonder if you all are in a place where licensing for the original iterations of Freddy could be secured.
In many ways, Chucky and classic Freddy are much alike: loud, profane, darkly hilarious. These things are inherent to their character, and now we see one really well implemented.
If it can be done, it should be done. BHVR would make a ton of money, and it would right a wrong (not to mention not having Nancy as a surv, it's like having Myers with no Laurie).
No offense to Jackie Earle Haley (he's a fine actor), but he ain't Freddy, and neither is the one we have now.

My g, what a Freddy epidemic on this forum recently. Literally more posts than about Chucky, lol.

I don't think there's any mystery why. Freddy and Chucky were horror contemporaries, very similar in terms of tonality, and one has been done lovingly, and the other one is barely an effigy. Chucky makes Freddy stand out.
Once Chucky goes live, you'll see a lot more talk about him.
