Plaything/Medkit bug

Playing on PC

Carrying a medkit, up against a deathslinger who was using Plaything. After cleansing a plaything totem, I was no longer able to use medkit, even though the icons were in the corner and it was giving me the option to heal myself with a medkit. Also the medkit disappeared after cleansing.
