Chucky Slice and Dice ability bug

Can you fix new Chucky killer's Slice and Dice ability.
How to reproduce:
Step 1. Activate the Slice and Dice ability.
Step 2. Run to the survivor
Step 3. Get the bug.
When you run to the survivor, the animation of running continues even if you got to them, it just continues to run in their direction, doesn't hit when close to survivor. So it's practically impossible to hit someone using this ability.
It happens everytime, with any perk, on any map.

This is intended afaik, if you release m2, then you will swing. It's like Blight where you have to input to swing or you will just keep sliding past the survivor.
