Tactical Prowess not working properly

I just started a new game as killer, got the challenge in the first minute of the game (it even showed me the 'yay it worked' challenge completion pop-up), then after the game ended I took a look and the challenge was still unchecked, as if I didn't get it. I even restarted DbD but it didn't change anything on it's status.
It's making me a little sad because for the most part I dislike playing killer, I only do so for the challenges- and I was super happy to have gotten it in the first try as it sounds kinda challenging for me as pretty much a unskilled killer, yet now I'd have to redo it and I really have no motivation to do that :')
