Safe Chat Too Strict :/

Safe chat blocks out a lot of things that make it really annoying to communicate.

DBD is rated M. How many M-rated games have such strict safe chat? I know how toxic the community can be, but in the grand scheme of M-rated games, it is really not that bad. The most vile toxicity I see doesn't even happen in the game, it happens when people go to live streams of other players.

I kinda don't blame BHVR for having a safe chat. I sorta disagree with it, but if I was part of a gaming company I would understand the appeal of players having nasty things blocked out. I do get it, but it is just too strict. They should just block out a few select words, and if people bypass it, that's what the report button is for. It is at the point where some perks and characters get censored. Things like "kill you" in the context of killing the character and not the player get censored, which is the entire premise of the game.

It really does not have to be this strict. If someone is gonna quit DBD simply over no no words in EGC online gaming is not for them. I am NOT justifying toxicity, I don't think it's okay, but to what lengths are we gonna avoid the inevitable on a game for fully grown adults?
