I was wrong again...
When Chucky was released, I was positively surprised. I wasn't really excited beforehand but when I played him, he was pretty fun. His power offered something to mess with survivors and a fun and powerful attack that could work around many loops in the game.
Now they limited his max turn to 90° and pretty much killed what made Slice & Dice good. But I am less upset about Chucky being weaker than before. I am furious and incredibly disappointed in BHVR for removing the mechanical skill expression from this killer, which was what made him so fun for me. It's not just watered down but completely gone, so I have no reason to play him again. That's 10 bucks down the drain.
They could have given him a longer cooldown for all I care as long as it didn't make him less fun. I'd rather wait 45 seconds to use my power and then have fun using it than waiting 18 seconds and be bored with it. And really, vaulting windows and pallets, while interesting and certainly a possibility to mess with survivors, is not very fun when that is pretty much all you have.
A 90° cap for flicks means, he now suffers the same issue that Hillbilly and Demogorgon suffer, only worse. A survivor that gets around around a corner cannot be hit because you already need some of that turn rate to get around the first corner. So, in most situations, you won't use Slice & Dice anymore.
