In-game store... the most overpriced non-gameplay affecting place to exist.

It's craaaazy that a skin (which obviously doesn't affect gameplay or add more content to the game) costs significantly more than a dlc that actually adds new gameplay/content.

Why are they so expensive? They've always been so expensive.

You have to buy a $14.40 AUD auric cell pack to buy a regular skin (which costs 1080 cells) then a $14.40 AUD pack plus a $7.20 AUD pack for a legendary skin (which costs 1485 cells)

It's good they're doing an over hall of original character's costs with dlcs and in-store (at least from mikaela and before) but they WHOLE thing needs an over hall, who made up these prices?

I really don't think they need an overhaul, the prices have always been the same. It's clearly been working, because they said they are increasing production of cosmetics at the start of the year. They wouldn't do that if they weren't selling. There is a demand for more skins.

I would of course like them to be cheaper but i am still happy to buy cosmetics at the price they are currently. Yes the value doesn't make sense when you compare it with chapter DLCs but you can compare the prices of everything in the world and a lot of things don't add up.

There's games that are super cheap and have a loads of content and then there's games that have single digit hour amount of content and they are full price. The runtime of movies is much shorter than the average length of a video game but tickets are still similarly priced. Ordering pizza is extremely expensive compared to how much it costs to actually make or just buying a frozen one.

Truth is things will be priced at whatever the seller thinks it's worth and/or whatever they think is most profitable but still low enough to still be bought and make a profit. People can charge whatever they want for anything. There isn't exactly any rules to the price of things. Only norms, trends, expectations, logic and apparently Business Intelligence which i've heard is relevant to online gaming but i don't really know much about.

Not saying i think the prices are justified, because i think they are not. I just think they work. People still buy them, BHVR continues to be happy to make more of them and have been since the store started like 5 or 6 years ago

Not to defend the pricing, but i think it's better having expensive cosmetics over expensive dlcs overall, i feel like if bhvr were to lower the prices on cosmetics, they would in return increase the pricing on other things to compensate for the loss in revenue, such as increasing the prices on dlcs going forward.
