During the game, after I picked up a survivor, they immediately escaped. I chased them down and got them again. This time, they escaped my grasp after about three seconds. We were alone in the area and they didn't have any perks for that.
During the next game, I was able to see the complete textures of survivors through walls when I was breaking them, regardless of any other obstacles between us.
