Backwater Swamp fake wall

Was just playing as Trapper in Backwater Swamp. Smaller tower in the swamp had a fake wall/door. It looked blocked off, but players could run through it (there was a stutter though) Saw a player run through it, I followed them thinking that it was possible they were glitching through walls. But no, the wall was visible, but not...blocked. I didn't take a picture of it, or get video, but it was on the side facing the center of the map, with what looked like a door frame, but there was graphical clutter. I was playing on PC through steam.
Very strange.
