My ambitious basement rework idea
THE BASEMENT
The basement is a way for killers to punish survivors for making serious mistakes, being basically a gold mine for Set UP and Insta Down killers (trapper, hillbilly, Shape, hag, cannibal, Freddy, etc etc etc), but, in a certain way, it is extremely risky to use them, as it takes a lot of preparation time and RNG
Survivors have no reason to go to the basement, it's risky, there's nothing interesting and it could lead to their deaths
my rework idea plans to make it more interactive and interesting for both sides

General changes to the basement:
The size of the basement will increase to support the following recommendations:
- 6 lockers will be spread across each corner of the basement
- 4 hooks will remain in the center of the basement
- there´s a chance to 1 of the 8 generators spawn inside the basement, all four survivors can work on it at the same time
- Inside the basement, weaker versions of 2 generic tiles with pallets or windows will spawn (like C-walls, LT walls etc etc etc) so survivors will be able to actually survive for a bit inside of it if they´re getting chased

Basement features for survivors:
- Inside the basement, 2 chests will spawn, both chests guarantee an item of rare or very rare rarity with at least 1 addon for them
- All the survivors can see the aura of survivors inside the basement

Basement features for killers:
- Inside the basement, the entity will give the killer a total of 2 bear traps that can only be used inside of it (for every killer)
- Inside the basement, survivors will suffer from the oblivious status effect

Basement offerings:
Killers and survivors will have offerings that they can use to manipulate the basement's state, location, features and etc.
Brown offerings:
- increases the chances of the basement spawns in the killer´s shack by 100% (both)
- increases the chances of the basement spawns in the main building by 100% (both)
Yellow offerings:
- removes 1 chest from the basement (killers - secret)
- removes 1 bear trap from the basement (survivors - can´t stack - secret)
Green offerings:
- decreases the chances of a generator spawns in the basement by 100% (both)
- increases the chances of a generator spawns in the basement by 100% (both)
Purple offerings:
- removes 2 chests from the basement (killers - secret)
- removes 2 bear traps from the basement (survivors - can´t stack - secret)
- removes 1 hook from the basement (survivors - secret)
Iridescent offerings:
- 1 survivor will spawn inside the basement (killers - secret)
- removes 1 tile from the basement (killers - secret)
- increases the amount of bear traps from 2 to 3 (killers - secrets)

remember: I'm not a game designer / game dev, this is just an idea from a person who likes the game, it could be bad, or it could be good, I don't know what that would be like in game, but it looks cool imo

That‘s a very cool idea. They should make two variants, the old and the new one.
Decreasing the chests would be a useless offering. I never saw someone use the current one that does that.
The bear traps would either spawn on the ground and you can‘t move them or there wouldn‘t be any. One problem is the button limitation, which behavior prefers, would make it hard to bring that in the game.

I've seen a cheater spawn bear traps on the ground, the killer (clown) was able to rearm the bear traps, so I thought it might be interesting to have this in the game

It‘s definitely a cool idea.
I play on console and I have only 4 buttons for everything and two more for emotes

This looks very cool and interesting, which means devs will not likely to look at this, unfortunately.
