Prove Thyself bugged

I'm not sure what caused this, maybe I am missing something. But I was playing as Feng and I would get the prove thyself buff when working on a generator with Cheryl, but not with the other Feng.

Does anyone know what may have caused this or is it just bugged?

    I reported this as well on NintendoSwitch.

    It seems there is a glitch that prevents it from activating on certain characters, on certain generators.
