How would you feel about Fantasy Themed Chapter?
DbD's on quite the Sci-Fi kick right now, and I'm honestly enjoying it and would still quite like a proper "in the atmosphere, full spaceship" map.
But I'd like to ask what everyone would think of a "Fantasy" Themed Original Chapter, No Forged in Fog doesn't count that is Medieval and there is a difference.
I'm talking about Fantasy like non-human survivors, an Elf and or an Orc!
There's lot of potential thing you could do for Killer's from a Fantasy Setting like a Lich, in a dungeon map with Mimics

I think it'd a bad idea. DbD's horror themes have been gutted enough already, having elves and dwarves running around would kill it completely and the atmosphere would become a farce.

I always believe horror is subjective. If the content is horrific to people, it should be represented.
I don't think Chucky is scary at all, but I know others do so I'm okay with it despite it being goofy to me. If others are terrified if Liches, why not represent them. I'm still waiting for a Cthulu chapter, myself.

Dark fantasy fits horror. I'm thinking of the Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth. He has a terrifying appearance. That would work.

That would work. As long as the horror part isn't ditched entirely, I think we're alright. I don't see how elves and orcs are going to fit in like OP was suggesting though.

I disagree, Horror and Fantasy are often one and the same, pans labyrinth, the vvitch
hell even old fables, like cinderella, hansel and gretel.
you cant "gut" horror, when horror reaches to ever genre you can imagine

I would like it. A non-human survivor sounds fun. Would be a cool detail if they had different coloured blood.

Not a horror franchise so that would be a bad idea.

After watching Magic: The Gathering become a bunch of infantilized manchildren doing crossovers with my little pony and balder's gate and kaijus and teenage mutant ninja turtles and sh** like that, no, I would rather not watch anymore serious games I play go down that childish route.

Gothic Fantasy would be so awesome. Like a Castlevania chapter or something.

There's plenty of horror elements in a fantasy setting to use.
2 -
Well I didn't really have a specific franchise in mind, just an original chapter based on DnD elements.

DBD just stops being scary the more you play it, I don't think it would be so out there to have non-human survivors

Sure, DbD stops being scary, but it should still feel creepy. It should still maintain some kind of aesthetic of menace and dread. But it would be completely impossible to take seriously if Legolas was running around with a flashlight and fixing generators. Dwight dressed as a Christmas elf is one thing, but a literal elf would be another.

This, this would be much easier to work with. Gothic is classic.

I'll take a final Fantasy chapter. I wanna be Tifa!
Or Valkyrie from Valkyrie Anatomia😍 That's where my name comes from on Steam. But at the same time I wouldn't want to see Valkyrie sacrificed. She could take out all the killers at once by herself lol.
