New STBFL: please consider modifying the special attack condition (PWYF too)
When changing the perk from whenever the obsession loses a health state on the PTB to whenever they take damage from basic and special attacks for the live build now, some M2 killers are now unreasonably strongly punished for using STBFL, to the point that some killers should never equip it.
I genuinely believe this to be an oversight and forgetting the fact that not all special attacks cause (immediate) damage to survivors.
Worst example is Trickster: every single blade that hits the obsession removes 2 stacks. If you have 8 stacks and hit the obsession with 4 blades, which mind you only fills their laceration meter by 50%, you're back at 0 stacks. That's just unreasonable brutal.
It reminds me a bit of PWYF, which has a similar condition, but for the most part does not punish M2s that do not actually cause damage (like Clown's bottles or Plague's green bile). I say for the most part, because PWYF is also inconsistent with this if you check the wiki, so it might need addressing too.
Either way, I think both STBFL and PWYF should have their special attack condition modified to only lose tokens when the special attack directly injures the obsession and not if it connects, but doesn't harm them. I think that would be the fairest way to go about this and make the perks usable on more killers, while retaining the intention of the nerf to STBFL.

I agree with changing it for STBFL.
I don’t think it’d make sense to change it for PWYF though since with PWYF it doesn’t matter if you actually hit anyone or not (usually), you lose a stack even if you miss an attack.

Well, the PWYF would be mostly for the sake of making its behavior consistent.

The STBFL change from PTB to live was perhaps rushed.
They did fix the "lose a health state by any means" but basically made every single direct Killer interactions remove stacks, damage or not.
Deathslinger loses 4 stacks if he hits a reeled-in Survivor since harpooning a Survivor (just hitting them with the harpoon, no damage) takes 2 stacks and then the M1 takes another 2.
STBFL is just crap now, instead of simply deactivating near hooked Survivors they just went the easy route of gutting the perk and somehow managed to make it even worse than expected.
