Can Calm Spirit please work like Bite the Bullet?
Why Calm Spirit got nerfed we will never know and we all know how much BHVR hates going back on anything they do so the speed penalty is probably here to stay that being said we can at least sort of turn it into a fringe benefit by actually making it silent when doing bones and chests by not making noise while injured while doing those actions.
It still wouldn't be good but at least it would have it's use as a proper stealth perk and actually do what it says about doing those actions silently.

They just need to remove pointless penalty.
There was no reason to nerf weak perk and the buff they gave to this perk never deserved any penalty. It was still niche perk.

The speed penalty should be removed entirely. Cleansing Totems or opening Chests while not making any sounds is not that strong of a benefit that it justifies a penalty. (In fact, it benefits the Killer anyway if Survivors spend their time opening chests or cleansing Dull Totems...)
But IF the Devs REALLY think that this benefit deserves a penalty, they should AT LEAST only let it apply while in the Terror Radius and only then the Survivor is silent. This would also make sense because if they can hear the Killer, they will be more careful and therefore silent, but slower. This would also benefit Stealth Killers.
But it makes 0 sense that you get a Speed Debuff for being silent when the Killer is on the other side of the map.

Without that penalty at least would not be detrimental.

Tbh, to my mind the quieter cleanse/boon and chest opening wasn't needed either. That buff is so rare to even come into play, it borders on being completely worthless... (forget borders... it is worthless).
It doesn't even make sense... I have a Calm Spirit... so I open chest and disabled totems quieter because I'm taking my time? That's more something I'd call "Diligence" or "Meticulous" rather than "Calm". Either that or "Apathy". There is a difference between remaining Calm and being nonchalant about the danger you're in.
Version 2.7.0 version of the perk seems perfectly fine, and not even weak... especially with the introduction of several screaming perks since then.

It should also hide the actual breaking noise of the totem when you finish cleansing it (not the map-wide notification for a hex being destroyed, but just the actual bones falling apart that can be heard nearby) as well as the sound when a chest actually opens.

I liked calm spirit. I didn’t use it a lot but it came in handy when it was needed. Didn’t always need it when it was equipped. Seems like they took a dump on a situational, somewhat less used, perk.

This part always bugged me the most. You can chew through a totem or chest with absolute silence....except the part that actually makes noise. It'd be more useful to completely remove the hinges from chests and yeet the totems to both smash them and create a distraction.
