Plague skins and phobias

With the newest rift came a new plague skin, the "Red Death" outfit, whose body is covered in maggots, something that quite literally makes me vomit if i look at it for more than a second or two, i think there should be an option to disable skins like these clientside since they can trigger phobias, would this be possible?

1% matches are plagues, she has many skins to choose from so the chance to face that kind of plague is super small.

Everyone has phobias and they can't counter to a few people with the phobia you have. Sure lots of people will find it gross, but that's the point.

I have a huge phobia of vomit and anything to do with it, and I'm never going to even think of asking the developers to change their game to suit me. I can simply just not play the game if it bothers me that much.

Never mentioned your anxiety. I'm just saying that what you're talking about it's body horror, and it's a horror genre. I'm sorry about your anxiety, I truly am, but that skin IS horror and in specific it's body horror, that's it.

Definition of body horror according to wikipedia:

"Body horror, or biological horror, is a subgenre of horror that intentionally showcases grotesque or psychologically disturbing violations of the human body or to any other creature. These violations may manifest through aberrant sex, mutations, mutilation, zombification, gratuitous violence, disease, or unnatural movements of the body"

The skin definitely applies. Whether or not you find it scary is a different topic, but it is undeniably body horror.

Grotesque violations: she has giant infested flesh wounds, cysts and overall signs of infection and decay all over her body. Half of her face is gone. One of her toes is cut off. Her throat has an open wound. She is vomiting blood. That is definitely grotesque ("comically or repulsively ugly or distorted").

Disease: she is infected with a deadly plague, her body is going through decay and an infestation is by definition a disease, there is no need to specify bugs ("In general, the term "infestation" refers to parasitic diseases caused by animals such as arthropods (i.e. mites, ticks, and lice) and worms (...)")

that would be another item on the ever growing list of things that should have an accessibility option clientside. - If a dev didn't care about that I would say 'well, out of luck, I guess' -- bhvr prides itself in being inclusive and accessible. Sure, not everything will be able to have an accessibility option clientside (take, Doctor shocks and flickering for example) but at the very least the purely cosmetic things should have one; being able to display a character with the default skin to you, for example. Or to be able to mute/replace certain sounds.

And yes, you face Plague or whatever very rarely. - But that also means the alternative to making it accessible would be to say it's abolsutely fair and appropriate to not play that match. Since it's kinda unreasonable to say the person in question should just stop playing the game altogtether.

Many people don’t understand this issue and will use stupid ‚arguments‘ like ‚but this is a horror game!!!‘

I have asked for phobia optioned that work client sided for years. Obviously only for certain phobias - it wouldn’t make sense to have a Haemophobia or Aichmophobia as these themes are actually present in every single match. But when the trigger is only present in one killer (eg Coulrophobia with Clown) or just one skin as in this case and the setting could be implemented clientsided and SUPER easy (as in, just a neutral skin) then WHY would anyone even be against it? 🤷‍♂️

Maybe don’t try to dictate what kind of feedback and suggestions others make just because you are okay with it. And as already stated - it would not even change the game at all.
