Steam deck: Characters resetting when leaving the game

I thought when this new ptb came out it would have fixed it but it hasn't, everytime I open the game I'm playing as jill valentine with the ftp + bu bulid and its really starting to annoy me!
I go to nea have to set her new rift outfit on put perks on and if I close the game next time I open it it's back to jill! Now you may think that's ridiculous and not worth a report but I play on steam deck so I close the game quite a bit so it's really annoying over and over having to set the character I want with the perks I want and the outfit I want.
And I am still receiving bloodpoints and shards.
