Unknown's Animations

All in all, the Unknown is interesting.

I'll admit, when I saw the teasers I got myself a little excited thinking we were getting some kind of skinwalker, FINALLY getting a killer that can disguise itself as a Survivor and hide among them, so Unknown is NOT at all what I was expecting, but it's interesting.

I don't have many notes on the PTB Killer, other than the animations could be SO MUCH MORE. They're fine as is, but there's SO much potential here that's missing.

I get the idea, it's disguised as a human, but once it's in chase I feel like it should drop the facade and just go full monster. Like, imagine if it's movement animations were the same as now, pretending to be human, then once it spots a survivor and gets so excited and enthralled by the promise of a meal (seems it's motivated by food from it's "intolerable hunger" voice line) that it forgets the act entirely and just crackles and contorts it's body like crazy, going full-on twisted monster, maybe with it's arms raised like it just can't wait to get ahold of you. That would SERIOUSLY up the scare factor, visually showing how eager It is to catch you.

All I'm saying is, you wanna make a scary monster, make a scary monster. But it is fine as is, if fine is what you're ok with.



Also side note, can we please ditch the "look at It to cleanse" mechanic, that just completely removes all risk whatsoever. It is SO hard to land a shot that it really doesn't need that easy a counter. Cleansing by removing the Hallucinations is perfectly fine, it comes with risk and rewards you by taking away a teleport point. Game interaction, strategy, and keeps the theme of Facing Your Fear to cleanse.
