Rework: Left Behind
Hello everyone. So, Left Behind is a very selfish perk, it shows the aura of the hatch, giving you a legs up in the desparate race for the hatch, but this perk activating also means that everyone else is dead.
The perk has a bad reputation, because certain survivors try to escape through hatch in order to get their tome challenges done and in doing so they sandbag and sabotage their team.
So here is a rework idea that I am very fond of:
Left Behind: evey 50% of gens repaired you gain a token. Each token gives you 16m of hatch aura reading. At 6 tokens, The Entity also grants you a key capable of opening the hatch, playing a cruel joke on the killer and chisling away at their hope.
The idea of this rework is that the perk keeps its use as a trump card in the race for the hatch, but it throws a wrench into sandbaggers trying to get their teammates killed. In order to get value out of this perk you need to engage in the game and actually be helpful. Good gen jokeys even get keys that the killer doesn't know about, so a hatch opening becomes much more feasable.
At 4 tokens the perk becomes as powerful as its old version, at max with 6 tokens, it grants 96m of wall hacks, basically guranteeing seeing the hatch, but still leaving a bit of room on bigger maps (also the big radius should help to triangulate the direction of the hatch). And this perk could make keys great again without being extremely frustrating for the killer. The race for the hatch is always a bit pointless as the killer has already won, but this perk would reward players foresight, if they tried to be a helpful teammate.
