Can't hit button on controller to accept SWF invitation

I can no longer hit the "-" button on Switch to accept a friend's request to play together. It takes 10+ seconds to maneuver the cursor to actually hit the button on screen, so there's no way you guys removed this functionality on purpose. It has to be a bug, you don't remove a QoL feature like this. Using the analog stick to control the cursor is nightmarishly bad on Switch. It's not quite as inconvenient on PS4, but it's still not great.
How often it happens: Every. Single. Time.
Platform: PS4 Pro, Nintendo Switch
