How would you balance dbd?

I think I am in the high mmr bracket as killer and in the mid maybe low-high mmr for survivor.

My experience in dbd never was worse. Every single killer is tunneling with 'pain res', 'grim embrace', 'pop' and 'corrupt' or something very close to this and on the other side I have tactical squad leaders gen-rushing and exit gate butt dancing every game. 'EZ' spams are no rare occasion anymore by both sides. I kind of feel like especially killers don't even realise how bad they played and that they only got a 3k by tunneling and noed. On top of that I now have a lot of cheaters in my matches. It get's harder every match to not tunnel someone out early. Yet to this day I am able to perform 4k's with non meta builds without camping or tunneling.

I feel like the game became too fast and one single mistake from either side can doom the entire match. Making a mistake shouldn't lead to the downfall of the whole match. Personally I think tunneling should be made much harder to perform and the time needed to repair generators increased. Optional it would be nice to have side objectives which can either help or hurt (we have these only in events sometimes).

Currently I feel most people don't even take the time to interact with events anymore as there is not enough time to try something different. So everyone sticks to the thing they know and can do best and the sweattub is filling up.

Would you rebalance dbd and if so how would you do it?

For now, Cheetah should be gone.

What I want is a mechanism where the killer's actions can increase the survivors' tasks. Injuries to survivors is one example, but there are cases where the theory of trying to complete the generator without treatment does not act as a deterrent. Therefore, if the killer can tunnel to force one survivor to leave early, that's what he wants. There are many situations in which it is not effective, but that is aside.

The Cenobite box provided a good sample. Many killers require a system in which both killers and survivors can choose between tasks.

I would develop an process for evolving the game, using stats and player feedback to steer the course of the game. Keeping skepticism and critical thinking as my right and left hand.
