Unbreakable Pallet on RPD West Wing

In the image I’ve provided above, the pallet on the Racoon City Police Station West Wing can not be broken from the side my character (the Spirit) is standing on. At first I thought it was just the one game session I was in that was bugged but as I’ve been burning RPD offerings all day, this bug seems to persist so I loaded into a Custom Game with a friend to test it out and has confirmed the prompt to break the pallet will never show up when I’m standing from this side, however I am able to break it if I were to do it from the other side, like so-
