UVX should reward you for a direct hit, not punish you
I don't understand why the UVX ball goes right through survivors, this is the weakest aspect of Unknown's power, and it discourages accurate shots. If you're too precise, you won't gain any value. Yes, it causes Hindered, but by the time you're ready to attack again, it's essentially useless.
I've had instances where I correctly predicted a survivor's path, only for the ball to pass through them and explode just a millimeter away from their AoE range. I made the right play, but I lost ground (due to recovery time and UVX cooldown), and the survivor hardly noticed, as Hindered is only effective in extremely close situations.
I think the power should encourage accuracy by rewarding direct hits more. Hitting an arched projectile isn't easy, so I think that beyond 10 meters (approximately), it should cause direct injury (similar to Artist's crows but in reverse). Or maybe the ball could instantly explode upon contact with a survivor. Idk, anything to avoid being penalized for hitting a survivor directly.

It's a AOE power. You don't need be deadly accurate with it to get the rewards from it. Once you've played more you'll learn the distances with the projectile and you will be scoring direct hits that land at the feet of the Survivors causing Hindered and damaging them

That attack has an area of effect, it is healthy that survivors have options to play around it. Also you still get rewarded by direct hits since it gives them hindered.
A survivor being able to try and get hit by the shot at close range in order to not go down is a part of their counterplay options. As the killer you can either try to predict this and ensure an AOE hit or just simply aim it at the ground so that they'll take damage even if it hits them directly.
