Please do NOT change the Unknown cosmetics
Please do not link/rework/change in any way skins for new killer. Just because of some few tiny % of bad actors and toxic players, doesn't mean we all have to be punish as collective and being locked out of cool skins and options to wear on new killer. I don't want to see another Bubba situation where the skins get removed or changed (or even linked together) just because of some very few bad actors.
If they are obivously targetting other players, then ban them of course but don't go your way and change allready existing things. That would be very dissapoiting and slap in the face. I hate group punishement just because of one student in the class being ######### (on avarage compare to the playerbase, its really like 1-2 max students out of whole class).

Please. We do not need a repeat of last time.

Well, I think it would be inconsistent for them not to given how they handled leatherface's cosmetic. I completely disagreed with that choice, but if thats how they're going to approach this stuff then I guess we'll see.

We'll see what happens but i really hope we get to keep them this time around. I have a feeling this killer's popularity will drop soon after this release so we'll surely see less of the hate that we're seeing/hearing about now

This isnt how BHVR operate. They punish everyone for the actions of a few scumbags.
Unfortunately in their eyes it'll be easier to remove the cosmetics than ban the perpetrators.
I think at the very least they'll link the sets.
One day this killers been out and we can't even have that. I hate this community

I will just add that some people on forums suggest to link the sets (which would be the most easy solution for BHVR to do if they want to do something about it).
I want to say that this would be a bad idea and it would mean for future that any character can't wear the other gender body type of clothes because it could lead to the same thing in future and it would mean that all future skins should be locked only by gender to avoid such situation which sounds pretty bad to me.
So if they really change these clothes and lock them behind gender-same-characters only, then I think if there ever will be character that could swap clothes like that, I should never buy (including with shards) such clothes because it could get changed again and it would be double standart that one character can't mix match and other could.

Everything involving race or gender can both be used against or for them.
I'm not quite sure why they would change anything. If they do it's simply a pr move to appease the few while no one else even thought about it.
Is it only a horror game when it can be used in argument for people? It's literally a creature wearing the skin suits and clothing of it's victims.

what is this even about?

People being transphobic on twitter. The usual.

Some people here on the forums, X, TikTok, and YouTube have been saying that the Unknown's cheerleader and gardener skins (which have more feminine features than Unknown's default cosmetic) are transphobic and/or being abused by transphobes. A vocal minority have called for them to be removed, or made into linked sets so you can no longer mix and match the masculine and feminine frames from different Unknown skins.
Last time a cosmetic caused this mutch controversy it was Leatherface's Smartface cosmetic and BHVR ultimately made the decision to completely remove the cosmetic from the game. OP is asking for the cosmetics not to be adjusted.

Speaking as a trans person, they're not transphobic. I can sort of understand the viewpoint but the killer is a monster using a hollowed out skin suit while not understanding what it's supposed to look like. For the being abused by transphobes part, those people will find ANY excuse to be awful about it. I get plenty of hate for daring to use the trans flag charm. Removing it from the game would just fuel those idiots and make them even more likely to keep doing it.
If you remove the cosmetics for perceived transphobia it proves those people right and they will just move on to the next thing in the game they want to get rid of and go from there. Don't give them the satisfaction.

Leatherfaces mask(s) were a different thing though. First of all, it’s licensed cosmetics so removing was the best choice as both BHVR and license holder needed to agree on the changes and possible future changes and this may take too much time. The Unknown though is completely originally created by BHVR and they can make adjustments as they please without needing a third party.
also, the leatherface mask for Claudette for not only him wearing Claudette’s face but the texture beneath the mask had some bug resulting in it being black (or significantly darker than for the other masks) and was directly Blackface - which likely wasn’t intentionally designed that way by BHVR or approved like that from the licenseholder
these are not comparable and expecting the same treatment is not reasonable.

Difference is Leatherface is never going to make them much money off cosmetics. At the time it was unlikely he was going to have any, and the ones that were "problematic" (god I hate that word) were free. Removing them didn't hurt BHVR in the slightest.
Preventing any future creativity with cosmetics for the Unknown, or locking every set that could be misconstrued, will significantly hurt the sales of those skins and the profit they make off the character.
