Void to address tunneling?
Many players seemed to enjoy the Void from the last Haunted by Daylight event, so I've been thinking of a possible way to bring it back in some small capacity. This would also address some of the issues that players complain about, such as tunneling, camping, or throwing on hook. This is what I have so far...
When a Survivor is hooked for the first time, they are transported to a hook in the Void, and portals will appear throughout the map as they did in the event, so teammates can enter the Void and unhook them. Killers cannot enter the Void, nor can the Survivor attempt a self-unhook unless they have Deliverance or Slippery Meat. Once the Survivor is unhooked, all Survivors in the Void will be ejected, either to the last portal used to enter the void, or any other portal on the map, and all portals will then disappear. The unhooked Survivor would emerge with the rescuer for a chance to heal. The idea here is to discourage early game tunneling, camping, or throwing on first hook. Again, this would only happen on each Survivor's first hook. Second hook onward, anything is fair game. The Killer could still tunnel the same person they just hooked if they reaaaaallllly want to waste the time searching for them.
Exceptions, of course there are always exceptions. Basement hooks: If a Survivor is hooked in the basement, they stay in the basement. The Void would also be "deactivated" when all generators are powered. Also I should note that Scourge Hooks would still function as normal, in case anyone was concerned about that.
I think that's it for this idea. I'm sure there's room for improvement somewhere.
