Crazy idea to improve the game
This idea was sparked after the third straight solo survivor game in which a teammate was hard tunneled out of the game within 2 or 3 gens and went down in chase instantly every time. There's nothing inherently wrong with being that sweaty in a public match, but players who are winning 90%+ of their games (and let's face it, they are) shouldn't be able to farm hapless solo players.
So I propose a system I like to call Skill Based Matchmaking. This system would measure the individual skill of players (Matchmaking Rating/MMR), and match them accordingly. A player who hard tunnels every game and has a player dead at 3 gens would likely have a high MMR, as would a 4 man SWF with multiple syringes and BNPs.
Instead of the normal matchmaking where those players are instantly thrown into the first available queue with an almost guaranteed win probability, they would have to wait in queue for a minute or two and be matched against players sweating as hard as they are. Then players wouldn't have their time frequently wasted in throwaway matches.
I fully endorse enabling SBMM. Please turn it on soon.
Edit: On a slightly less sarcastic note, I took quite a bit of time off from the game because I found solo queue matchmaking to be terrible. I recently started playing again during the event, and it's extremely disappointing to see that nothing has changed for the better. It's worse than when I left the first time. Of the 4 games I played tonight, 3 were complete throwaways. There would be zero outcome variance outside of a hatch if those survivors and that killer played 20 times.
Why will you not improve this? Why does it have to be this bad? Why has there been almost complete radio silence for the better part of 2 years now regarding matchmaking? How do you reconcile your desired kill rate with the consistent solo queue feedback you see on these forums and elsewhere?

Well, I think a lot of complaints would be resolved if sweaty players were matched together. If so, I agree. However, in my area, half of the cases are matched like that.

Good luck we cant even get matched with killers who don't have a red bar next to a knife in my lobbies 95% of the time.

It also does not help that either from natural deduction, or influenced by top killers, that tunneling is the first method used by new killers. So the thing that is not perceived to be good by many is often there from the start for killer players.
