Greenville Square is massive...

I would've posted this in the appropriate map feedback thread, but they're all closed, so I'm posting it here.

Players have already pointed out the massive size of Greenville Square, but I saved a highlight that really emphasizes how huge the map is.  I literally had to run from one end of the map aaaalllll the way to the other to unhook teammates, and I almost didn't get there before they reached second phase just because of the sheer distance I had to run.  Imagine what would have happened if I got interrupted by the Killer along the way.  (I almost did while running for the second unhook; Deathslinger took a shot at me, but I dodged, and he ignored me in favor of hooking another teammate).

On top of that, all that time I spent running to unhook teammates was time wasted not doing gens, or anything else useful, for that matter.

It doesn't matter how big it is if it has zero good pallet loops. Also its very narrow on each end of the map

Definitely that and all gens are far too close to each other.

The thing with this map, is the generator by the circular garden on the opposiute side from the Cinema, and especially the generator in the Cinema itself are both basically no mans land for the killer. It's almost pointless trying to defend them. Instead you're better off defending the 5 core generators in the middle of the map.

I'm no expert on maps, havne't been playing long enough to really be able to say what maps are good or bad (or if I can, I struggle to identify why), but I do quite well on either side in this one, simply because I understand this fact that the outer gens are a waste of time. Its the gens in the middle that decide the game.

If you get a team that fighs for the middle gens, using the time that the double pallet rocks and alike gives you, and pressure them all early, survivors usually have a good game. If you waste those early strong pallets though and your team spends all their time and resources on the outer 2 gens that are almost freebies anyway, then it's rough.

Gate spawns tend to be quite far apart with the related pros and cons.

Map is too big and narrow at the same time if survivors are injured anywhere near the bottom of the map they can't really do much to get past and reach gens. There is also pretty insane 3-4 gen spawns one where 2 gens were maybe 3m apart.

I wish they'd shrink it a bit, but also spread the gens better so they aren't as stacked. Like stick a couple more over on the theater side.

The map length is too long. Overall area-wise it’s similar in size to other big maps, but unless I’m forgetting something I don’t think there is any map that is as long length-wise as Greenville is. And this doesn’t make for good gameplay on either side. The gen spread is also terrible.

I don't know how they keep making the same mistakes when releasing new maps, and then they have to be reworked, shrunk in size, and made more evenly shaped.

Like Shattered Square was too big when it first came out, and then they reworked it and made it into more like a…well…a square. Now they'll have to do the same with Greenville Square. The put the word "Square" in the name, and don't make it an actual square?

It is very large. Also I don't get this but people are saying that there is no good loops even though there are at least 6 loops just from the top of my head that consistently spawn and are good.

I thought when it released there was gonna be buildings around the statue in the "square" of the map. But nah, they put the 1 building on the complete opposite side from the statue

Double pallet is not a good loop, theres 3 structure loops and 1 of them is usually a window gym
