Unknown blocking the hook entirely

So as the title suggests, i had a game just now on borgo where in the endgame someone was on the hook, and when i sneaked behind to unhook, i just couldn't, it was a 90 degrees open area. I went left and right of it, it wouldn't allow me to, he was slightly into the person on the hook too like no collision. Couldn't record or screenshot because he started hitting me after like 5 seconds of staring at my attempts to unhook.
They were console/epic games player, i am on PC, he only had corrupt intervention on, don't have other details to provide tbh.
