Deathslinger Aura Visible on RPD Map

I was playing as Feng Min on RPD against Deathslinger.
Once he would hook a Survivor, I was able to see his aura no matter where he went, well beyond Kindred's 16 meters.
For example, he hooked Kate in the back courtyard and I could see his aura as he traveled halfway across the map, up the stairs, around the corner, ect. He was nowhere near Kate. The same thing happened when he hooked Alan Wake.
My perks were: Kindred, Distortion, We'll Make It and Resilience.
The Deathslinger perks were: Gearhead, Spies From The Shadows, and HEX: Huntress Lullaby.
*No Survivors brought the Open-Handed perk.*
1
