Dead by Daylight not working after a new update

Whenever my friend attempts to start the game, on either epic or steam, this error shows up "Fatal error: [File:C:\J2\lPCs\Engine\Source\Runtime\Windows\D3D11RHI\Private\D3D11Util.cpp] [Line: 180] Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. (Error: 0x887A0006 - 'HUNG')". Is there any way to fix this? Is it inevitable for some older graphic cards?
