A look at Status Effects

Status effects are either useful or very niche and underutilized. I like the idea of every Status Effect having an impact in every game. Let me know what you think.

Blindness

Problem: Too much of an impact on soloq survivors and too little on coordinated swf's.

Solution: More Appeal

  • While being Blinded:
  • [BUFF] The killer's Red Stain and Generator Progress are now invincible
  • [BUFF] The Survivor's Vision is darkened outside of 32 metres (you can clearly see within 32 m)
  • [NERF] Instead of blocking Auras entirely, the Survivor can now read auras within 32 metres (in your position)

Deafened

Problem: too underutilized, weak and uncommon in perks and add-ons.

Solution: More Appeal and replace more perks/ add-ons with this Status Effect

  • While being Deafened:
  • [BUFF] The Survivor hears the 32-metre Terror Radius
  • [BUFF] Noises made by the Killer are silent
  • [NERF] Removed the Tinnitus Sound

Deep Wound

Problem: Deep Wound is a very uninteresting mechanic and annoying against some killers.

Solution: More interactivity

  • While in Deep Wound:
  • [NERF] Mending no longer downs you.
  • [CHANGE] When the timer is up you are hindered instead.
  • [CHANGE] There are now Skill Checks while mending.

Haemorrhage

Problem: Unpopular by itself

Solution: More Appeal

  • [BUFF] Pools of Blood are now pink in addition to the frequency of Blood Pools

Exposed

Problem: Only useable by Basic Attack Killers and not too strong on perks or killers

Solution: More Appeal

  • While being Exposed:
  • [BUFF] The Volume is increased by 50% for:
  • Grunts of Pain, Footsteps, Repair noises
  • [NERF] While being in a locker your Recovery Rate increases by 30%

Chance

Problem: Almost no effect in Game.

Solution: More Appeal

  • [BUFF] Increases the Chance of Rarity in Chests
  • [BUFF] Decreases the Chance Crows are disturbed
  • [BUFF] Increases the Skill Check Chance by 30% by the Offering User only
