Game Freezes and disconnects me from my lobby after 20secs when I try to change my character

Hello,

I am hoping someone can help me figure out what is going on and what I could do to fix my issue.

I load up my game pretty normally with smooth video and around 70fps (like usual), nothing seems off in the main menu, I can get a new daily easily and visit the store.

The moment I select survivor and then try to go to characters to change my survivor my game freezes and does not respond for roughly 20 seconds before telling me I disconnected from the lobby and booting me to the main menu. I am experiencing this issue since yesterday and have never had that issue before.

My PC does not struggle with other games I play that are heavier on the minimum requirments. I run dbd on low with everything to make sure it will always run smoothly.

I have tried setting everything on low through Nividia but that did not work, does anyone have any idea what else I could try? If you need more information for ideas feel free to ask, I am technically pretty illiterate that is why I am unsure about needed information.
