Game Afoot not working with Nemesis' tentacle

I've been using a build with Nemesis which involves the perk Game Afoot, which as of the previous patch allowed you to gain Haste after destroying a pallet with your tentacle as long as you are chasing the Obsession. It seems this interaction doesn't work as of the new patch, as I had a game where I destroyed multiple pallets with my tentacle while chasing the Obsession and did not gain Haste. Notably, I had one interaction in which I started chase with the Obsession, destroyed a wall with my tentacle and that did cause Game Afoot to activate and give me haste. Please let me know if any more information is needed to help solve this issue, thanks!
