The Nightmare Gameplay Suggestions
The Nightmare has quite a few issues that need to be addressed to make him more of a challenge to play against and some changes to make him feel more rewarding to play as in higher match making.
•"Z"block reworked for killer instinct was a very good change so it doesn't feel so disorienting and helps knowing exactly where to go, BUT that being said, survivors still can get away so quickly before Freddy can catch up. Adding a Vault speed increase for the duration of 6 seconds would help against generators that are too safe by vault locations (especially that chain together too).
•Black Box should keep what it has but add another reverse effect to it. Awake survivors hear Freddy's lullaby and asleep survivors hear the regular terror radius. Because right now Freddy is so lackluster in fun perk builds because of the dream world playing too much against Freddy, than with Freddy.
•Give Freddy a 5% haste status effect for 6 seconds after a teleport to help Freddy catch up some distance lost due to the blood spew and projection build up giving survivors a big warning window to run. This basekit buff would help a little so Freddy doesn't feel so slow.
•Dream Snares need to give Freddy a slight buff. I'm not saying buff the hindered status effect or anything it does to debuff the survivors, I'm suggesting actually buffing Freddy himself. Adding a haste status effect would be good but kinda boring because it's kinda overused to fix older or slow killers. I'd say tie it into increasing Freddy's lunge attack for the duration of a triggered dream snare (basically a short basekit coup de grace buff). That way it'll be more risky and rewarding for both sides and not encourage healthy survivors to trigger snares for injured survivors but instead they'll have to avoid them.
•Swing Chains and jump rope: 3% faster teleport speed (purple) and 2% faster teleport speed (green). These would be way better rework options for Freddy.
•Outdoor rope: add another effect where it reduces Freddy's terror radius by 4 meters to add some better stealth gameplay, please.
Thank you for taking the time to anyone who reads this post and I hope we can all enjoy Freddy soon!
