Nerfing aura magic items instead of Haste is insane
Very strange change imo, because 3 seconds was absolutely fine. Aura can be helpful sometimes, but not that game changing as absolutely broken 7% Haste for 3 seconds, which even x1,5 stronger than Vecna's addon:
Like #########? Another example of BHVR trying to balance game for 4 killers vs 1 survivor or what?
Vecna changes seems fine on a paper, but Magic Items aura should be reverted and this Item should be hard nerfed.

Agree. I don't understand why this magic item gives you haste but the other only let you see the spell or in case for the Fly magic item, the aura of Vecna. Why does this magic item gets an additional strong effect? It makes no sense but makes this item much stronger as it makes Vecnas chase tool weaker.

I agree, it's definitely a strange decision. Mage Hand is just useless with this item on a survivor and the aura read was fine.

I love how on stream they said something like "Vecna can feel oppressive, but there are items to help with it" and none of his spells not only didn't feel oppressive but were borderline useless.
But make item stronger than addon which should help to use your power more effective… BHVR's balance decisions won't stop surprise me even in 10 years.0 -
Mage Hand was buffed a lot, there is absolutely no problem with this item helping survivors against it. It would be useless without the haste effect.

You can't be serious or?

Yeah, your post where you compared Mage Hand to Scamper perfectly showed how delusional you are about it. Mage hand's closest brother is Doctor's shock. With 38 seconds cooldown. Which you still need to use nearly perfect on some loops to get a hit. And even if it was "free hit scamper situation end of the world" – good on it, that one of 4 spells will give him hit once in 40 seconds in a game, which balanced around 45 second chases.
And this Item is not even helping with this spell like other items, it just make it 100% useless and make it lose-lose for killer. Even with ignoring this fact, that item shouldn't be in 1,5 times stronger than killer's addon, which do the same, lol.
I see that you trying your best be likeable by survivors auditory, but it's not a reason to ignore reality so much. "oh i'm killer main, but this one time Doctor shock B-tier ability with 38 sec cooldown seems so OP, how fellow survivors will play against it????"
> You can't be serious or?
We still have perk on this chapter, which helps to survivors and harm killer more, than helps to himself, lol. In game item will give more value, than addon that killer will bring into the game. I'm joking, you know.1 -
I am not being delusional at all. Mage Hand in my opinion is much more comparable to a hatchet of Huntress at pallets than to Doctor's shock, you seem to be underestimating it's potential.
Also, no ability should ever just give a killer a free hit, that's not good gameplay design, even if that ability has a 38 second cooldown.
I also think you are overestimating the item's effectiveness. It's not always going to be a lose-lose situation. If you use the ability right, you should still be able to get hits against a survivor using this item.
I see that you trying your best be likeable by survivors auditory
I honestly feel a bit sorry for you that you have to resort to such accusations against me. The thing is, I simply care about the survivors fun as well, not just the killers fun. So if there is something I think could be problematic for either side, I will voice my opinion on that. Not to mention that in my other post I simply said Mage Hand could be problematic, but I am not sure about that. Maybe Mage Hand will still be completely fair. If you think I am worried about Mage Hand doing anything at all, then I really don't know what to tell you anymore. Because I obviously want killers to be strong as well.
But in the end, it's you who is going to have to deal with the fact that the mage hand item hasn't received a nerf, while I am simply going to be happy that it didn't get nerfed.

Honestly after the aura duration nerfs of the magic items it looks like the haste item + the one revealing the aura of the sphere in order to avoid the haste item from being disabled will be the only useful combo of magic items to run.

Nothing really changed in terms of priority, Haste item was and still two heads ahead other items. On second place aura of skeletons, because it really can help sometimes. Other two just exist, Lich's aura during fly i didn't find that useful, but it's not completely useless. So skeletons you can crouch, other auras don't do much, so i of course will run free deny to only killer's spell, which can lead to hit, no doubt.

I thought their dev note for aura nerf was reasonable. I do think interloper gear is probably too good though but we have to remember that dispel sphere exists and it's on a shorter cooldown.
