Hey,
after playing a lot of Vecna, I want to give some Feedback and what changes he could/should get:
- Flight of the Damned (FotD): I don't like the ability to counter the Skeletons by just crouching. This feels very cheesy and unsatisfying, especially since this move has a 38second cooldown. Yes, survivors lose distance due to this but this also does not feel right on the survivor side (It's just boring and not skillful zoning). The crouching dodge also makes the magic item completly useless (why should you waste your time to find and open a Treasure Chest?) because survivors get a sound warning when Vecna uses this Spell and the spawn as well as fly time is rather slow so survivors have enough reaction time. So you don't need to see the Skeletons do avoid their hitboxes, you can just crouch and everything is fine. Yes, you can hit survivors with this move when they do an animation like vaulting but these hits are also rather cheesy. By removing the crouching part, the magic item becomes more important and good hits get better rewarded on the killerside.
- Fly: The duration could be 4.5seconds instead of 4.0seconds to deal better with larger maps.
- Dispelling Sphere: Currently, this Spell only feels important to know where the survivors are (or if you use the iri Sword Add-On). Deactivating their magic items don't feel that important because they are not necessary/helpful for the survivors. The Dispelling Sphere cannot deactivate the Eye and Hand of Vecna which is also a big downside and should be changed. If FotD gets buffed and the Sphere disables the Eye and Hand of Vecna, then this Spell would become much better. On the other hand, the magic item for the Sphere would also become better.
- Mage Hand: I think the upcomming nerf should be more than enough (even though I don't think it needs that nerf) because besides the magic item survivors are able to outplay this Spell without getting in a lose-lose situation. It's not like Chucky's hold Scamper that forces the survivor in a lose-lose-situation.
- This might be a hot take but in my opinion the 38second cooldown for each Spell is very long and it should be changed because otherwise Cooldown Add-Ons will become necessary on this killer. But he should not get it for free. I think he should get the Add-On "Pearl of Power" basekit in that way that every M1 hit reduces the cooldown for every Spell by 4seconds. I think this could be a fair exchange. Of cause the Add-On should get a rework. It can also be something different but it should not be for free since this would be too much. I think this change should happen because otherwise Vecna will have the same issue like Huntress and Clown that everyone runs these shorter cooldown Add-Ons (like everyone used the extra Hatchet/Bottles for Huntress/Clown).
Add-Ons:
- Chrystal Ball: Useless Add-On and it should rather increase the deactivating time of the magic item by 10seconds or something like this. 3seconds extra Killer Instinct is useless on every killer. It could also have the effect to show the aura of the survivors that interact with it for 5seconds.
- Glass Eye: The movement speed for the Sphere could be 15% or 20% instead of 10%.
- Dragonthooth Dangger: This Add-On feels so useless since 45seconds is nothing while Sloppy is also viable on him. In addition, currently using Magic Items besides Vecna's Hand and Eye is not that important since they don't feel needed. The time should be increased to 60 or 70seconds (depending on the buffs the Spells could get to make the magic items more important).
- Cloak of Invisibility: The time should be increased to 20seconds since 10second is not very much.
Treasure Chests:
- If the Magic Items become more important, the respawn time should be reduce to 80seconds instead of 2min. I think this would be fairer.
