Is Venca's perk Weave Attunement broken?
So basically the perk says once the item is FULLY DEPLETED it gives the killer aura reading around it but I've noticed that the items don't need to be used at all for the killer to gain the aura reading. While playing against venca I saw he had the perk and was running Franklin's as well so I dropped my item but when I did I lost a distortion token, and when I went to pick up a drop item that was dropped from Franklin's it still had charges but it was also an active area for WEAVE ATTUNMENT.
My question is, does the item need to be fully depleted to activate the perk or not? Cause the perk description is wrong if so. And is not the perk is broken and need to be killed switched as it can be easily abused to give full map aura reading to the killer which in my eyes is the same as running wall hacks.

The perk does 3 things.
1st, the first time an item depletes to 0 charges it is automatically dropped.
2nd, dropped survivor items have their auras revealed to the killer and the auras of survivors within 12m of the item. This can be from any means and not just due to the perk's own effect.
3rd, a survivor picking up an item suffer oblivious for 20/25/30 seconds.

This shows auras around any item, not only depleted ones.

no the perk does not say that. it says that first time the item is depleted. the item is dropped.
When a survivor is near any dropped item, the aura is revealed within 12 meters. The item does not need to be depleted.
When a survivor picks up an item, they are inflicted with oblivious status effect for 30 seconds.
