A Giant List of Survivor Perk Buff Recommendations

I don't know about anyone else, but I often look at the survivor perk list disappointed about how lacking some numbers and effects are. I think it really limits meaningful perk and build diversity in this game.

So, for fun, since I'm bedridden currently anyway, here's a huge list of changes I wish some underwhelming survivor perks got. Keep in mind, I would also want underwhelming killer perks to get a similar treatment.

Keep in mind, all effects I list are in addition to the perks current effects unless I specifically mentioned I intended to remove them.

The List:

Ace in the Hole

  • Items from chests always have 2 add-ons of Very Rare rarity or lower
  • Slightly increases rarity of items from chests

Appraisal

  • Shows auras of all opened chests
  • Slightly increases rarity of items from chests

Bardic Inspiration

  • Cast time dependent on roll (lower roll, shorter cast time to keep the buff)
  • Rolling a 1 makes the lute play on its own for 30s
  • Reduce cool-down when canceled by 50%

Better than New

  • Gives 50% haste for 5 seconds when the survivor you heal is healed from injured to healthy
  • Gives other survivors a notification that you have this perk when nearby (icon at bottom right)

Boon: Circle of Healing

  • Any injured survivor in the boon sees the nearest allied survivor on the map

Boon: Dark Theory

  • Increases the range of all boon perks by 12m

Boon: Illumination

  • Reveals the aura of all dull totems

Breakdown

  • Reveals the aura of broken hooks to all survivors
  • The aura intensity of broken hooks changes depending on when the hook will respawn

Camaraderie

  • Changes color of aura on hook and not activated to show survivors you have this perk
  • Changes color of aura on hook to white when activated (like Reassurance)

Chemical Trap

  • Can be put on pallets not already used

Corrective Action

  • Upgrades allied skill checks one tier above what they were hit as
    • i.e. failed skill check becomes good, good skill check becomes great
  • This perk has a ~5 second cooldown
    • Prevents toolbox + hyperfocus abuse

Counterforce

  • The totem furthest from you has its aura permanently revealed
  • When the revealed totem is destroyed by any means, the totem furthest from your current location is permanently revealed

Cut Loose

  • This perk can only be activated when healthy and in a chase
  • Your fast vaults are completely silent
  • Deactivates when injured or out of a chaseDark Sense

Dance With Me

  • Perk cool-down recharges 3x faster when not in a chase

Dark Sense

  • Increases all aura reading effects by 2 seconds

Deception

  • Perk cool-down recharges 3x faster when not in a chase

Desperate Measures

  • Healing and Unhook speed increases by 25% (not 14%) for each injured, hooked, or dying survivor

Fast Track

  • Permanently reduces maximum charges of a gen based on its current token effect
  • Tokens still deplete after use

Friendly Competition

  • You and each survivor doing a generator with you gets a stacking 3% repair boost for every 10 seconds you're repairing together
  • Repair buff lasts 20 seconds when not on a generator
  • Repair buff caps at +15% repair speed

Hardened

  • Keep activation conditions (open chest + cleanse totem)
  • Increase aura reading time to ~15 seconds; OR
  • Your grunts of pain become reduced by 100% for 60 seconds when injured

Head On

  • Your locker has its aura revealed to survivors within a 20m range

Inner Focus

  • I don't know how to save this perk short of a rework
    • You get 25% haste for 5 seconds on activation?

Left Behind

  • You can see the hatch's aura at all times when it spawns
    • No range limitation on aura reading

Light Footed

  • Cool-down lowered to 10 seconds
  • Cool-down recharge rate increased by 2x when out of chase
    • i.e. 5 sec cool-down out of chase

Mirrored Illusion

  • Can place a standing or crouching illusion anywhere on the map
  • The illusion runs for 4 seconds if the killer has LoS of it within 30m
    • The illusion does not leave scratch marks
  • Can recharge the perk while an illusion is already active
    • Revert this bugfix nerf, ty

Open-Handed

  • Increases all aura reading durations by 2 seconds

Parental Guidance

  • Duration increased to 15 seconds

Pharmacy

  • Reveals the aura of the nearest unopened chest
  • Gives the med-kit generated by this perk one add-on of 'Rare' rarity or lower

Plunderer's Instinct

  • Allows you to rummage for a purple key once per match

Poised

  • Increase duration to 15 seconds
  • Remove grunts of pain and pools of blood for the duration

Potential Energy

  • Show your aura in a unique color to all survivors when you have max tokens
    • I like the colour green

Premonition

  • When activated, reveal the killer's aura for 3 seconds

Quick and Quiet

  • Cool-down recharge rate is increased 2x when not in chase
    • i.e. 10 second cool-down outside of chase

Reactive Healing

  • Heal 70% of your missing hp when another survivor is injured within 32m of you
    • Keeps it in line with Solidarity and Resurgence

Red Herring

  • If the killer comes within 4m of the generator this perk explodes within 30 seconds, a fish jumps out and slaps the killer for a 5 second stun
    • Not really, but it would be funny

Scavenger

  • Number of tokens required to recharge toolbox reduced to 4
  • Increases skill check chance by a flat 4% when activated
  • Flat skill check chance reduces by a flat 1% for every token this perk has

Self Preservation

  • Increase range to 32m
  • Duration of perk increased to 15 seconds

Slippery Meat

  • Increase the unhook haste and endurance effect by 10 seconds on yourself when unhooked

Small Game

  • Increase range to 16m
  • Reveal the detected totem's aura for 1 second when proc'd

Specialist

  • Remove the 4% max gen progress per token aspect of the perk
  • All items you retrieve from a chest have double the charges for the duration of the match

Spine Chill

  • I don't know how to save this perk short of a rework

Still Sight

  • Remove the ability to see the killer's aura
  • Now blocks the killer's aura reading on you when activated; OR
  • Instead of either of the above effects, show dull totems and increase the range to 36m base

Technician

  • Hide all grunts of pain when repairing a generator

This is Not Happening

  • Increase skill check chance by a flat 10% when repairing or healing
  • You are affected by Blindness and Oblivious when repairing or healing when injured

Up the Ante

  • Keep current perk effects but make luck affect the following:
    • Chance to unhook
    • Rarity of items from chests
    • Chance of startling crows when walking and crouching

Visionary

  • Remove the cool-down

Wake Up

  • See the auras of all survivors for 5 seconds each time a generator is completed
  • Reveal your aura to all survivors for 5 seconds each time a generator is completed
