Hitboxes and/or Hit Detection Broken Since Unreal Update

Since the unreal 5 update it has become increasingly apparent that there is something wrong with hit boxes and/or hit detection. I can have a survivor right in front of me in a narrow area with nowhere to juke left or right, swing, and somehow it does not connect. This happens repeatedly. Often multiple times per game. I believe this goes beyond just a ping issue as it happens fairly consistently and with survivors of varying ping. And my ping is fairly consistently below 50.

I am aware that there is a lunge bug that has been in the game for some time where sometimes the game decides you can't lunge and therefore you miss the hit because you do a short hit instead. I don't know that this is the same issue. As I have taken to trying to get very close to survivors before swinging, and it still will whiff fairly frequently.

This is starting to make the game very frustrating and nearly unplayable. I will try to get footage if it continues.
