Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

All Platforms - Nic Cage long screams are delayed

Any time Nic Cage has to do a long scream the scream will be delayed from when it's supposed to play. This issue is most commonly seen when Nic Cage is hooked, as his long scream will not play on hook impact but plays later similar to the OLD hook scream timing. This issue can also be seen when playing against The Doctor, any time Nic Cage screams from tiering up in madness or periodically screams in madness tier 3 the long scream will be delayed from when it's supposed to play, which causes a clear desync between the screaming animation and Nic Cage's long scream audio.

Every other survivor's long screams are played as intended. A normal survivor's long scream is demonstrated in the attached video compared to Nicolas Cage's long screams.

To reproduce this bug all you have to do is hook Nicolas Cage, or play as Nicolas Cage against The Doctor. This issue will happen 100% of the time.

While I would GREATLY appreciate a slider to just mute survivor HOOK screams (or at least lower the volume), it'd be really nice if his scream was at least consistent for the mute focus trick. A lot of streamers mute the survivor hook screams to make the viewing experience more enjoyable for their audience and those that run things like calm spirit, because they can't stand the screams.

Nic's scream being out of sync compared to other survivors often leads to not being able to mute it.

i think the old delayed screams were better but with the extended screaming version we had last year in the skull merchant patch
