Knight haste bug or feature..?

When playing as The Knight, and using the perk Batteries Included, placing a guard and going near a completed gen actually gives you the haste, meaning you can chase someone towards a corner, place a long path for a guard near a completed gen, and get the haste for 3 seconds from BI, as well as the haste from placing the guard far away
wasnt sure if this had to do with the knight being considered to be at the spot of the being placed guard, but it definitely doesnt seem intended
