Multiple gens popping from a single gen being popped

I play on pc through steam, I believe the bug happens specifically if a survivor disconnects or kills themselves on hook but for whatever reason them doing that causes the next gen after they have done that to sometimes pop 2 gens instead of one sometimes a gen will actually pop so the correct number of gens are left in the match and sometimes the match will progress to end game with only 4 gens being actually being popped meaning there are 4 gens left on the map by the time the hud shows that there is one gen left, I've had it happen in multiple matches semi frequently
