Merging Xbox to Epic games account that is signed in through the same Xbox account

As a second attempt to get back into the game, I wanted to access the DLC and such that was bought on Xbox and merge it onto my Epic account. I have played DBD on both but the difficulty that is occuring is my BHVR account is linked to the Xbox account already and when attempting to link to the Epic account I get the attached message: "The connection to your Behaviour account has failed for the following reason: A game account with identical information already exists." I guess the general question is what is the process I have to go through to get access to the DLC that was bought on the Xbox account through my Epic account that is signed in through the Xbox route? I am sorry if there was something I should have read as I have not had the chance to go through everything. Thanks for any assistance.
