As a long time dead by daylight player (joined around the time the plague was added) I must say that the game fell off a bit for me for a while, I stopped playing because of the lack of variety. With that being said 2v8 is one of the most fun things I've played ever. It completely changes the dbd formula in a way that makes it chaotic, fun, and fair. I suggest instead of making it limited time to bring back later you choose to keep it around and add new updates (maybe like a new killer or class every few weeks or so) so that way the community can enjoy a new, less competitive mode while the devs can keep pumping out content for 2v8 to keep the hype and interest for the mode up. This also allows you to balance the killers to be added by letting the community have more of a say on what does and doesn't work in the mode.

    IIRC, the mode is only limited as of now so the devs can incorporate feedback and fine tune it before it becomes permanent and they add more content. So at least we know that it will be here to stay in the future!
