UI needs to be fixed. We won't just get used to it.
So things have gotten pretty quiet regarding any more fixes to the character selection / lobby UI after only 3 changes were rolled back following the huge backlash on the redesign. And there was nothing about it on the upcoming PTB notes.
I hope this is because the devs are hard at work, implementing the pages and pages of feedback received and not because they're just waiting it out hoping players get used to the bad redesign.
If it's the former, one thing that needs to be addressed immediately in a hotfix while we wait, is making the sorting filters save permanently until manually changed. That alone would alleviate a lot of the frustrations from this redesign. For example having to scroll past a bunch of unowned characters to find the ones you own or the newest character being at the top messing up the order, etc. Right now the filters reset every time you click away, even to simply spend bloodpoints, which is really annoying.
If it's the latter and they're waiting it out hoping we just get used to it, I need the devs to understand that the complaints regarding the UI are not rooted simply from players not liking change. The changes are literally a downgrade and have made character selection and customization a more time consuming and frustrating experience. I really hope the many threads of feedback has actually been looked at and will be used to design a UI that elevates our gaming experience instead of hindering it. Thank you.
