Reworking The Shape to help improve performance and gameplay.
The Shape
Power: Evil Within
Activating Evil Within allows The Shape to see his prey clearly and build up more evil power by Stalking them. As the Trial progresses, The Shape becomes more powerful over time, and is granted the ability to kill a Survivor by his hand.
Evil Within 1:
While Evil Within 1 is active, The Shape is granted the Undetectable status effect and has a slightly decreased movement speed and lunge. While Evil Within 1 is active for the first time, The Shape slightly refills the Power Gauge for each successful basic attack or interruption he does on a Survivor, until the Power Gauge is full. Once the Power Gauge is full, press the Active Ability button to enter Evil Within 2.
Evil Within 2:
While Evil Within 2 is active, The Shape has a moderately decreased Terror Radius and has a slightly increased movement speed and lunge. Anytime The Shape is not Stalking, press the Active Ability button to activate Evil Within 1.
Evil Within 3:
When the Power Gauge is full while Evil Within 2 is active, press and hold the Active Ability button to activate Evil Within 3. When activated, all Survivors suffer from the Exposed status. Evil Within 3 lasts for 60 seconds, after which, it regresses to Evil Within 1.
Special Ability: Stalk
Press and hold the Power button to Stalk all visible Survivors. Stalking Survivors builds up your progress through Evil Within tiers.
Special Ability: Ultimate Sacrifice
When The Shape has completely drained Evil from a Survivor after Stalking, the next time Evil Within 3 is active, The Shape is granted the ability to kill a Survivor by his hand, by pressing the Attack button. When a Survivor is killed, The Shape's Power Gauge depletes entirely and will enter Evil Within 1.
Power Trivia
Cool-down:
• When The Shape has entered Evil Within 1 or Evil Within 2 at any time, a 15 second cool-down starts.
• Anytime The Shape has entered Evil Within 2, The Shape is granted the Undetectable status effect for 5 seconds.
Activation Time:
• Press and hold the Active Ability button for 0.5 seconds to initiate Evil Within 3.
• When The Shape is activating Evil Within 3, an animation will play for 2.5 seconds.
Evil Within 1:
• While Evil Within 1 is active, The Shape's base movement speed is increased to 4.4m/s.
• While Evil Within 1 is active, The Shape's lunge attack time is increased to 0.3 seconds.
• While Evil Within 1 is active, hitting a Survivor with a successful basic attack partially refills the Power Gauge by 15%.
• Interrupting a Survivor refills the Power Gauge by 25%.
• The Shape can no longer Stalk Survivors while Evil Within 1 is active for the first time.
Stalking:
• The Shape's stalking meter no longer slows down the further away a Survivor is from The Shape.
• The Shape takes 50% longer for a Survivor to reach maximum Evil.
• When a Survivor has reached maximum Evil, that Survivor can no longer be Stalked.
• Survivors who have reached maximum Evil resets once Evil Within 3 ends, or a Survivor is killed by his hand.
• When The Shape has progressed past Evil Within 1 for the first time, The Shape is now granted the ability to Stalk Survivors, to power up Evil Within 3.
• When a Survivor has reached maximum Evil, The Shape gains Killer Instinct for 3 seconds.
Passive Charging:
• While The Shape is not actively Stalking a Survivor, the Power Gauge slowly refills over time.
• The time required to passively charge through Evil Within tiers, takes 6 minutes and 30 seconds to refill 95% of the Power Gauge.
Deactivation time:
• When Evil Within 3 deactivates, an animation will play for 2.5 seconds.
Stalk Movement Speed:
• Increases the passive stalking movement speed to 2.9m/s.
• Increases the active stalking movement speed to 1.38m/s
Audio Cue:
• Survivors will hear an audio cue when The Shape has switched from Evil Within 1 and 2.
• A Survivor will hear an audio cue when they have reached maximum Evil.
Heads-Up Display:
• A Survivor will be displayed on the HUD when they have reached maximum Evil.
Score Events:
• The Shape is awarded 250+ Bloodpoints when a Survivor is interrupted or hit with a successful basic attack, while Evil Within 1 is active.
• The Shape is awarded 100+ Bloodpoints when Evil Within 3 activates.
• The Shape is awarded 500+ Bloodpoints when a Survivor is hit during Evil Within 3.
• The Shape is awarded 1000+ Bloodpoints when a Survivor is killed by his hand.
• The Shape is awarded 500+ Bloodpoints when a Survivor has reached maximum Evil.
Add-on changes:
Common Blonde Hair Add-on (Rework)
• The Shape is granted the Haste status effect by 5% for 5 seconds after switching to Evil Within 2.
Common Boyfriend's Memo Add-on (Rework)
• Increases the lunge attack time by 0.1 second while in Evil Within 1.
