Unable to play with same platform friends on Xbox

It's in the title, really.

Upon accepting an invite either way, after waiting for the long hang the xbox version does before actually transitioning to the lobby, the game simply states that the invitation is no longer valid.

This is a new addition to the laundry list of loading problems the game has on Xbox

    Also experiencing this. Partner and I cannot join one another, we get the "Accept Invitation Failed".
