Map Offerings should be changed

The way map offerings work right now is unhealthy and needs to be changed in my opinion. The fact survivors can just throw maps like garden of joy, eyrie of crows or other extremely survivor sided maps is absolutly obnoxius especially for m1 killers who can't just outplay every filler pallet. Same goes for killer. A nurse should'nt be able to throw the game or midwich, equip nowhere to hide and basically has a guaranteed auto win. Map offerings influence a match way too much compared to other offerings.

Personally I think you should be able to ban maps with a map offering. For example if the killer throws a withered isle offering, every map except garden of joy and greenville can spawn. Now if survivors would ban a very killer sided map this way, the match would be much more balanced in my opinion. Sacrifical wards could then just lift the map ban and put it back into the map pool. This still is a huge effect compared to other offerings, however it would not basically determine the outcome of a match before it even started

    Yeah, I agree.

Map offerings need to be reworked to make it so that it's specifically banning the maps, rather than making it so that you specifically needed to go to the map realm a person burns an offering for. I think it would help with the RNG aspect and actually make map offerings more versatile in cases of multiple people running map offerings, rather than just a russian roulette of which map out of x number are we going to go to.

Map offerings offer too much value for both sides - killers for (Midwich, Haddonfield, RPD) while for survivors (MacMillan, Ormond, Red Forest).

On the contrary, I personally despise Eeyrie of Crows due to the nasty three gens that are set up and hard to break due to its small size (just my opinion). I honestly feel quite claustrophobic on the map as everything spawns so close together outside of main. I think the game would flow better, rather than people dcing during loading just because the killer brought Midwich.

Or... get rid of offerings all together. Bhvr needs to fix map choices and cooldown on which maps a player has already been through multiple times.

As Of Now, are just gonna have to have a player to stock up on Sacrificial Wards and by chance knock out a map offer.

IMO, I would have Map Voting like COD has but that would be too survivor sided.

But to be fair for ALL who are playing. The only solution is to get rid of offerings and Bhvr fix the map randomization

Or just… you know use a sac ward if you are bothered by it or your own map offering. It's not like there's a shortage of either.

the issue isn't the offering but the map. the very survivor sided maps (for example garden of joy) and the very killer sided maps (like midwitch) would benefit from a bit of a rework to make them more balanced for all killers. assuming all maps are balanced the offerings themselves would not be an issue

Yeah who needs bloodpoints or other stuff if u can bring a sac ward every game to prevent a potential map offering from the opposite site. Also I don't want to determine what map it will be either, I just want it to be random, like it's supposed to be. Map offerngs just have way to much of an impact right now

Yeah. You bring perks and offerings to support stuff you want to do or deny your opponents. Endgame build with hatch offering. Chest build. It's like everything else.

Make map offerings iri or something. They're fine. It's fun to outplay a team on a map of their choosing.

sac words quickly run out if you use it every match, even if nobody brings a map offering it will burn which is why they deplete so fast.

and bringing a map just makes it a rng battle
