How I would improve the anti-face camp mechanic and reduce tunnel vision.

So, let's go talk about the anti-face camp mechanic, shall we? Everyone, except the new players, know what this mechanic is used for, and how it can reduce the effectiveness of camping near a hook. Well, to be honest, I don't think this mechanic helps me much when I am put into a situation I can not escape from, while I am sitting endlessly on a hook, until I am sacrificed. It makes the game pretty boring to play sometimes, so I'm here to post a discussion on how I think this mechanic could improve in various ways, without trying to make it too overpowering.

Improvements I would make for the anti-face camp mechanic:

• When the Killer is within proximity of the hooked Survivor within 30 seconds, the hook timer will gradually slow down to double the speed. (This does not activate until the anti-face camp meter activates)

• After the hook timer has slowed down, and the Killer stays longer than 20 seconds near the hooked Survivor, the hook timer will pause and that Survivor will no longer receive Skill Checks from the hook, until the Killer has moved out of proximity from the hook for at least 10 seconds.

• Survivors are granted the ability to "Give up" or "Surrender" on hook at any time, by pressing the Active Ability button. (Pressing this button will automatically sacrifice the hooked Survivor)

• After the hook timer is paused, the Survivor that unhooks them self, are granted the Endurance status effect for 16 seconds. (This does not stack with Borrowed Time, Off The Record, or any other perks that grant the Endurance status effect from a self unhook, or being unhooked by a Survivor)

• The face camp meter no longer stops progressing while Survivors are attempting to rescue, when both the Killer and Survivor(s) are within proximity of the hook.

• While Survivors are attempting to unhook a Survivor when,

How I would help prevent Tunnelling from a hook rescue:

• When the Killer has hooked a Survivor, the Killer can no longer see the aura of the hooked Survivor.

• The Killer can no longer be notified when a Survivor has been rescued off the hook, until the Endgame.

• When a Survivor has been unhooked, the unhooked Survivor and the rescuer both have their scratch marks and pools of bloods hidden for the next 7 seconds.

With all these changes in mind, this will help prevent Killers from Tunnelling a Survivor as frequently, but also give the Survivors a chance to hide before the Killer finds them again. While these changes do help prevent tunnelling from happening, it will help encourage Killers to chase other Survivors, as well as making Survivor game play feel a bit more rewarding to play, while also making both sides a bit more fair to play against.

Introducing the Anti Face-camp mechanic to new players:

• New players/beginners of Dead by Daylight can now see the description of the Anti face-camp mechanic in the Game Manual.

This helps new players understand the importance of this mechanic, and how it works in-game. It also indicates to new players how this mechanic can be used, and when it should be used at the appropriate time, that way the beginners know what to expect when they go into the next Trial.

If any of these changes ever do come into the game, this will be much appreciated, and will not only help improve the Survivor experience for everyone, but also help improve the game, too.

question ? Does this apply when survivors are near because if not then hook rushing it uncountable by what I see.

A few possible changes to make it better for everyone:

No hook escape attempts unless it’s endgame or you can unhook 100% so no more giving up

Hooking a new survivor instead of the same will give location of a random person (not when there’s two left) lockers aura will be shown if they’re in a lockee for some stupid reason. More blood points and why piece of resistance

intangibility: no endurance anymore, you lose collision and hit box until you interact with something important like an objective. No body locks equals no tunnel, off the record will give intangibility and make them harder to see like a distortion. Killers(just sadako) will have this also

Not sure why, but at least replace the survivor with bot

When the Killer has hooked a Survivor, the Killer can no longer see the aura of the hooked Survivor.

Like the location of the hook? Seems irrelevant, I know where I hooked.

The Killer can no longer be notified when a Survivor has been rescued off the hook, until the Endgame.

Not doing much, I can see the icon.

When a Survivor has been unhooked, the unhooked Survivor and the rescuer both have their scratch marks and pools of bloods hidden for the next 7 seconds.

I am fine with unhooked survivor, but why rescuer? That should be valid target to chase.

I would definitely want changes to also actually give a reason to hook fresh survivors, or give killer an option to find them.
